Location

The villa is situated only 1.5km from Praia da Luz which is an Algarve resort that is popular for holidays.  The resort has everything you need – a lovely beach, lots of restaurants, bars and cafes, a bank, shops for everything you are likely to want and all in a very attractive setting.  It is an ideal resort for family holidays with everything close at hand. It is a few minutes drive away or about a 35 minute walk to the beach.

Coast/Beach:

The most local beach Is Praia da Luz which is approximately 1.5km away but there are lots of others within 5 -10 minutes drive away including Porto Mos, Praia Dona Ana and a few more minutes the main Lagos beach of Meia Praia. We also visit a number of other beaches within 15 -20 minutes, Burgau and Salema. The West Coast surfing beaches are 25-30 mins drive away.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Faro and is approx 80 km away and takes 55 minutes to arrive at the villa. There is a local bus service with a stop near the entrance to the villa complex. There are a number of local taxi firms – the cost of a taxi into Praia da Luz is approx. 5 to 6 euros and the cost of a taxi into Lagos is approx 10 – 12 euros. Uber also operates locally.

Praia Da Luz 1.5 km, Lagos 3km, Portimao 30km, The mountains of Monchique are about a forty minute drive away.

Praia da Luz is an excellent family resort and you really don’t need to travel further afield, but there are other fun things for families to do close at hand.
