Flights
The nearest airport to the villa is Faro and is approx. 80km away, the journey takes approx. 55 min.
Flights. Most major airlines fly to Faro including Jet2 and Ryanair.
For a quick way to compare prices and find which dates/days are cheaper then take a look at Skyscanner. Remember to view flights for the whole month. As we do not have a fixed changeover day you may find it cheaper to fly on days other than Fridays and Saturdays.
Transfers between the airport and the villa
Getting to the villa – there are various options.
Group/Private transfers – there are numerous reliable companies who offer a group/private transfer (as at 2023 the price for a private transfer is approx. 170 euros for a return transfer for up to 4 people)
By taxi and train – a taxi from the airport to Faro train station will cost approx. 10 euros, the train to Lagos will cost approx. 7 euros and a taxi from Lagos train station to the villa will also cost approx. 10 euros.
Please note Uber also operate in the Algarve.
Car Hire – there are many small, local and major car hire companies who offer a range of options/prices. We regularly use ‘Luzcar’ car hire who have an office in Lagos. Rental is ‘hassle free’, staff speak English and you only pay when you pick the car up at the airport in one of the outer car parks. The easiest way to get to the villa is via the A22, this is a toll road and the cost from the airport to the villa is just under 6 euros. The car hire company will take a payment in advance and place a transponder in the car. The alternative toll free route is via the EN125 and this will add about 25 minutes to the journey.
